The Lavin Agency is a speakers bureau, based in New York City and Toronto. We exclusively represent leading thinkers, writers, and doers who inspire ideas and dialogue that make the world a better place. |
This year, Lavin speaker Patti Smith will interview Neil Young on stage at Book Expo America. Here’s a rare video of them singing Young’s “Helpless.” Patti comes in at 4:30 and does that Patti Smith thing she does so well.
We’re thrilled to announce that Rachel Rosenfelt, an agent at Lavin’s New York City office, will be speaking at the 7x20x21 lecture series as part of Book Expo America 2011. (Other speakers include author Colson Whitehead and Kevin Smokler.) Speaking from her experience as editor and founder of The New Inquiry, Rachel plans to discuss the emerging ecosystem that will sustain intellectual life in the 21st Century. She’ll also talk about the current reviewing landscape for women. Check her out on May 24, 2011 at the Midtown Insight Stage. Details here.
Go, Rachel!
